I suddenly had a recollection that I used to have a mobile photo blog….. And I suddenly wondered if it still worked? Or will this photo end up floating somewhere in the dark corners of the internet forever? If you’re seeing it now, I guess it still works. 
And no, I didn’t turn my prince into a frog for this photo.

Marshall’s Garden

My step-dad, Marshall Cohn, was born in 1922 in San Francisco. His grew up on 7th Avenue in the Richmond District. Even though he passed away, the home he grew up in has remained in our family. And today, when I was at the property taking care of a few things, I discovered this sign. It made me smile. Every property has a history, and sometimes, if you look hard, you’ll discover it.

Blue Skies in the Dogpatch

The City feels like it always should during the summer – foggy, overcast, cold and windy. But Potrero Hill’s Dogpatch district, always the exception to the rule – blue skies!!! And while not exactly warm and still somewhat breezy, the weather here defnitely has less "bite" than the rest of the City right now.
I’ve lived in SF my whole life, and I’ll always agree with Mark Twain, "The coldest winter I spent was a summer in San Francisco." But, I’ll still always love it here. It is, after all, HOME!

The House of Love

Someone wrote a song once about the House of the Rising Sun. Well, this isn’t it, but I’ve been told it’s called The House of Love (on Fulton at Masonic.)
It’s quite a sight, the whole thing is surrounded with plants. Kind of refreshing to see a little bit of eclectic SF scattered in the City!
