The Stow Lake Turtle
Friday, August 8th, 2008This has to be the biggest turtle I’ve seen at Stow Lake. He’s an O.G. by any standards.
A little mobile photo blog shot in and around San Francisco with the crappy camera of a Treo 700wx.
This has to be the biggest turtle I’ve seen at Stow Lake. He’s an O.G. by any standards.
While passing a stick at Stow Lake, Lace decided to reach out and grab a stick. Who am I to stop her.
She’s having a great time….
The funny thing is that the Pagoda has spikes to keep pigeons away. Looks like it’s not working.
She looks like she’s had the best time she’s had in a month.
The title is meant to be funny. The post isn’t.
Lace is one of my dogs. She’s riddled with cancer and has a slipped disc and is in a lot of pain. Tomorrow, we’ll be taking her to the vet for the last time. But today - today, she got carted around at the beach in our home made bucket ATV. And next, we’re off to get her hamburgers and ice cream before going wild with dog bones.
It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. Loving a dog is easy. Letting go isn’t.
And P.S. To Jenny and your little dog , Fawn - thanks for the hug and shedding a tear with us. You may think we think you’re crazy, but we really just think you’re a kind warm hearted human being and I wish there were more people like you in the world. Hope to see you around one day under better circumstances.
Enjoying the orchid at my open house on 172 Marview Way.
They’re not cheap - but they’re good. Check out www.lubasf.com/blog In a few days for the full story.
Yowza.
Hope no one got hurt.
Crappy way to start the morning off!
