How sweet. We found a tombstone turned over and used as a stepping stone which was flush with the grass at our place on 40th and Geary when we decided to dig up the garden. So our bit of history was a bit creepier. I like yours better.

It won't be swimsuit weather. It will be "celebrate my birthday" weather. It's nice in the sun - but in jeans and a long sleeve T.

I was there on Sunday (8/31)...it wasn't windy at all. And it wasn't even very crowded, since it was Labor Day wknd and everyone was out of town (or the natives were at Burning Man). I LOVE LOVE LOVE SF on holiday weekends--sometimes SF is a "suitcase" town. It's best to stay here and take advantage of having (almost) the whole city at your disposal (even Market Street was shut down, for a brief period, that day). I took off my shirt (I was wearing a sports bra, so it's kosher) and got some sun (but SF makes me sun-phobic and I got a rash). Lots of tour buses drove by to see the "full house" painted ladies. It was a beautiful day and I never realized there were tennis courts in that park--I'm ready to be challenged to a match!!). Alamo Square Park's got a great view of SF (on a clear day-as per usual). Whenever one of those painted ladies is on the market, I want to buy one (pending I inherit about 10 million dollars). You will be my agent, of course!

[...] And when the weather heats up around SF, people in flock to Ocean Beach to cool down. Unfortunately, these same beachgoers bring with them trash, bottles, cigarette butts and general filth. A photo I took with my cameraphone on a hot April day gives you an idea of the aftermath. [...]

It's a great technology, but is it too good to be true?

Check out www.simplepark.com to see something even better. How about a device in your car that lets you pay for your parking without having to even leave your car? A device that will work at the press of a button... reloadable by phone or computer...
